History of Pops
Pops in the Park has been a mainstay of East Sacramento community life for over 30 years. Founded in 1991 by then Councilmember Josh Pane, the series has developed under Councilmembers Steve Cohn and Jeff Harris into an established tradition that thousands of residents enjoy every Saturday evening in June. The event has always been focused on bringing free quality entertainment to East Sacramento, with an emphasis on improving our community. In 2023 the Pops tradition continues in collaboration with Friends of East Sacramento for the non-profit support of local artists, vendors, businesses, and residents. We are excited to carry the East Sac summer tradition forward!
